Glastonbury is arguably the most famous festival in the world and it is finally nearly time to get back on the fields for the first time since 2019.
When the original headliners of the first ever Glastonbury in 1971, The Kinks, pulled out of their performance, Marc Bolan came to rescue. Unsure at first as Bowie was in a much more experimental phase, Michael booked him on the promise he would do up a setlist of his hits. She was joined by special guests Nick Cave and Chris Martin during her set and played all of her hit tunes as she honoured her slot 14 years on.Met with some backlash, The Smiths appearance at the festival in 1984 marked the end of the 'hippy' vibes at Glastonbury.
