Glaswegians will be given the opportunity to see the Northern lights on a budget thanks to a new service launched from Glasgow Airport.

The new service will mean Glasgow will also be fully connected to the airline's North American routes. PLAY currently operates flights to Boston, Washington DC, Baltimore, and New York, well as Toronto in Canada.CEO Birgir Jónsson said: "As we continue to expand our network, PLAY is proud to announce the addition of Glasgow to our growing list of destinations.

"Air links between Scotland and this Nordic island nation go back decades thanks to its enduring popularity with travellers keen to take in the country’s stunning scenery and magnificent culture.
