The Glens have confirmed their permanent manager ahead of the European play-offs
Devine was initially appointed on an interim basis in the middle of March but is now set to stay in charge beyond this season.
He told the club's website: “In the month I’ve been here I’ve identified a lot of what’s wrong and needs to be fixed at various levels at the club. We’ll deal with those. But I’ve also seen a lot of positives to be built on. Devine was scathing in his criticism of Saturday's performance against Cliftonville, with the Glens falling to a 2-0 defeat at Solitude.Devine added: "Over recent weeks it has become quite evident the team is broken," he said. "I'm embarrassed about the performance, the intensity and quality, everything about it, but it’s not surprising.
Glentoran Chairman Colin Jess said Devine has identified key areas which "can be fixed in the short term" and has also laid out a "compelling outline" what is needed for the future success of the club.
