The facility in Nasugbu follows its site in Bolbok. Other key facilities within the Globe group which now operate on renewable energy are in Cavite , Quezon City , Cebu , Makati and one each in Caloocan, Taguig , Mandaluyong, San Juan, Manila, Marikina, Laguna, Tarlac and Iloilo.
Globe aims to source 44 percent of its electricity from RE by 2030, and 98 percent by 2050, in accordance with regulatory timeline movements. “The continuous shift of our high-energy sites to renewable energy is a reflection of Globe’s unwavering commitment to sustainability,” said Globe assistant vice president for regional network operations Butch Kalalang.
The company embarked on its decarbonization journey in 2019 by purchasing RE bundled with verified emission reduction certificates through power purchase agreements.
