GMA personalities were recognized at the 40th PMPC Star Awards for Movies held on July 21 at the Henry Lee Theater at Ateneo de Manila University.

Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 and Manila International Film Festival 2024 big winner Firefly continued its winning streak with several awards from the Philippine Movie Press Club . Earning the Movie Child Performer of the Year award was Euwenn Mikael. The Sparkle child star played the role of Tonton, a young boy who found himself on a journey to find the mystical island of fireflies from his mother’s bedtime stories. Sparkle artist Dustin Yu was given the accolade New Movie Actor of the Year for Shake Rattle And Roll Extreme: Rage episode.
For her remarkable performance in the comedy Here Comes the Groom, Gladys Reyes was honored as Movie Supporting Actress of the Year.
