Good Morning Britain weather presenter Laura Tobin was congratulated by co-stars Susanna Reid and Andi Peters live on the ITV show.

Good Morning Britain weather presenter Laura Tobin received praise from her colleagues during the latest broadcast. On Thursday's episode of the ITV morning show, Susanna Reid and co-host Paul Brand presented the latest headlines from Britain and beyond.

Andi Peters appeared for the competition feature, while Laura provided viewers with the day's weather outlook. Early in the programme, Susanna took the opportunity to acknowledge Laura's significant accomplishment. Susanna said: "We haven't just got our usual weather presenter in, we've got a weather presenter who is exceptionally good at explaining the weather to our viewers. In fact, you're so good Laura that you have now received another award," reports the Mirror.

She added: "You have been awarded the Michael Hunt Award for public understanding of meteorology and its applications and this comes from no less an organisation than the Royal Meteorological Society, congratulations.

" A visibly pleased Laura responded: "Thank you so much. " Shortly afterwards, Andi also offered his congratulations. Following his competition announcement, Andi addressed his colleague, saying: "Now talking of winning.

" He went on: "Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to celebrate the fact that the Royal Meteorological Society yesterday awarded a certificate in a frame for Laura Tobin. It was for increasing the understanding of meteorology, for a non-scientific audience.

" Andi quipped: "Now, as we all know, I got a B in chemistry, so I'm not scientific at all but congratulations to Laura Tobin. Well done Laura.

" Laura responded: "Thank you. " She continued: "It's basically that I had to explain meteorology to you every single day. That's what the awards are for, Andi.

" Supporters quickly inundated the presenter with warm messages, with one stating: "Congrats on the Mike Hunt Weather Award. " Another posted: "Congratulations Laura, totally deserved. " A third commented: "Congratulations award winner. " Another remarked: "Congratulations Laura.

Well deserved. Keep up all the good work you do. One amazing woman.

" One viewer said: "Amazing and very much deserved. " While another admirer added: "Congratulations Laura, well deserved indeed. "I love how you explain everything that's going on around the world. Also I trust your daily weather forecast as it's usually 100% as opposed to other channels.

Thank you.

" Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1 and ITVX
