Good Morning Britain hosts congratulated two Love Island stars after sweet baby update
Good Morning Britain announced two exciting new arrivals on Thursday's edition of the ITV programme. It was disclosed that former Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore and the show's narrator Iain Stirling, along with Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury, have welcomed their second children.
Susanna Reid and co-host Paul Brand were at the helm of the programme, bringing viewers the latest headlines from across the UK and beyond. Andi Peters fronted the competition segment, while Laura kept audiences informed with the day's weather forecast. Richard Arnold returned for his customary entertainment slot and wasted little time in sharing the joyous baby news with viewers, reports the Mirror.
Leading the warm tributes, he began by saying: "A huge congratulations from all of us at Good Morning Britain, has to go to two others who are part of the Love Island family.
" He went on to add: "Former host of course Laura Whitmore and voice of Love Island Iain Stirling, welcomed their second baby and keeping with the baby theme, Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury have welcomed their second baby with the caption, 'and then there were four'" Susanna replied: "Oh, huge congratulations. " Richard added: "Yeah, congratulations to all.
" The double baby announcement came after meteorologist Laura Tobin was earlier celebrated on the programme upon receiving a prestigious accolade from the Royal Meteorological Society. At the time, Susanna announced: "We haven't just got our usual weather presenter in, we've got a weather presenter who is exceptionally good at explaining the weather to our viewers. In fact, you're so good Laura that you have now received another award.
" She went on to say: "You have been awarded the Michael Hunt Award for public understanding of meteorology and its applications and this comes from no less an organisation than the Royal Meteorological Society, congratulations. " A visibly flushed Laura responded: "Thank you so much. " Shortly afterwards, Andi Peters also offered his congratulations.
He remarked: "Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to celebrate the fact that the Royal Meteorological Society yesterday awarded a certificate in a frame for Laura Tobin.
"It was for increasing the understanding of meteorology, for a non-scientific audience. " Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1 and ITVX.
