As ITV's Good Morning Britain marks its 10th anniversary with a special show, its presenters look back on a decade of early mornings, major stories and star-studded chats
From England’s 2022 Women’s Euros triumph to the coronavirus pandemic, the past 10 years have been hugely eventful — and Good Morning Britain has been there to cover it all. The breakfast show is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special episode as the likes of Susanna Reid , Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley reflect on a decade of news.
However, she admits chatting to Bridget Jones star Renée Zellweger is a close second — particularly given Kate’s connections to the character. “On the third Bridget Jones movie, she came into the gallery to watch how our show is put together and even used some of our studio crew in the filming,” Kate smiles.
Kate wasn’t the only presenter who’s had a brush with the big screen — Charlotte Hawkins, 48, made her film debut thanks to the show. “I was asked to appear in Bradley Cooper’s film Burnt,” she recalls. “I got to interview him about it. A moment I will never forget!”
