GMP officer accused of sexually assaulting colleague claims that she 'embellished' story, court hears
A trainee Greater Manchester Police officer accused of sexually assaulting a female colleague told a jury that he believed the alleged victim had “embellished” her story, due to being upset with him.
The alleged victim previously told the court that during the 15 minute journey, the chat went back to a previous conversation about a boy who had sent her messages and tried to get her to go to his home. She said she changed tack and said it was so long since she had been with a guy nothing turned her on. “He reached over and grabbed my right thigh. It was the inside of my thigh really high up and squeezed and he asked, ‘What about this?’ she claimed. “I felt mortified, humiliated and I said no.”
