GMP has made a referral to the police watchdog over how a complaint by a woman was handled
A police custody detention officer has been arrested on suspicion of sexual offences, Greater Manchester Police has revealed.
GMP's statement said: "We have seized CCTV footage from the police custody suite and secured other digital material. Our detectives are currently in the process of obtaining full accounts from all relevant parties. It's understood custody detention officers work alongside police officers and custody sergeants at police station custody suites and carry out a range of roles when a suspect is arrested and brought in.
