Leeds United have just under two weeks to wait until their next Championship outing away at Norwich City
Daniel Farke looking to make the most of international break after what has been a hectic few weeks for Leeds United. The manager will be happy with what he’s seen from the Whites so far and after picking up 13 points in their last six games, they currently sit fifth in the Championship, nine points short of the top two.
But, the two goals they scored weren’t enough to completely see the spirited Robins off and the visitors came within a whisker of finding an equaliser late in the game, with Sam Byram required to make a clearance off the line. Farke, then, will be working with his attacking line to try and help them become more clinical and take more chances.
Gnonto ought to be a key man for Farke as the winter months draw in and the manager will be glad to see him on the verge of making a return to action.Farke will also be looking to Bamford to chip in over the coming weeks and months after making his long-awaited return from injury last month. The forward has made three appearances off the bench so far, with United’s medical staff keen to edge him back into the action slowly following the hamstring injury he picked up in pre-season.
Of course, a handful of Leeds’ most used players are away on international duty, but for the likes of Pascal Struijk, Illan Meslier, Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville, a break is needed. The same can be said for Sam Byram, who is fresh from starting three games in the space of a week.
