Leeds United are almost a quarter of the way through the Championship season and they find themselves in a pretty healthy spot. With 11 games played, the Whites sit in fifth and they’re certainly looking up the table rather than down it after building up momentum over the last few weeks.
As his confidence continues to grow on the field, that killer edge in front of goal will surely come, and he has the opportunity to develop a habit of getting on the scoresheet with the amount of games leading into the New Year.Djed Spence’s time at Leeds United so far has been frustrating to say the very least. The right-back caught the eye in September as he made his debut off the bench in the draw against Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road, but injury has ensured he hasn’t been seen since.
Luke Ayling, Jamie Shackleton and Archie Gray have fared relatively well in the right-back role this season so far, but Spence has been brought in to be first choice and he could be a difference maker.Like Spence, Willy Gnonto has spent the last few weeks on the sidelines after undergoing minor surgery on a foot issue last month. He’s expected to return to action sooner rather than later, though, and he’ll be looking to build some momentum after a disrupted start to the campaign.
