One Big Switch Campaign Director Joel Gibson says the 20 per cent increase in energy prices projected for July is going to be “very tough” for Australian households and businesses.
A “cumulative impact” is also present due to an average increase last year of 20 per cent as well, said Mr Gibson.
“We are seeing a little bit of extra relief from state and federal governments to try and help especially the most vulnerable households to deal with that.”
