Nash Rawiller took out the feature double at Rosehill on Saturday for trainer James Cummings.
With a lightning turn of foot, Cylinder launched to victory in the Run To The Rose and became Golden Rose favourite at Rosehill on Saturday.
“He really had to knuckle down and sprint quick when the gap came,” trainer James Cummings said. “I don’t even think it was a gap; it might have been half a gap. “We told Nash to be behind the leader because he has rolled off in the past, and he did it perfectly,” Cummings said. “You saw his patience on Cylinder, but that ride is exactly how we planned it. That’s why you use a Nash Rawiller, because he is strong and gets in it right.”Golden Mile was caught up in the backwash of the Missile Stakes resuming when Big Parade broke down in front of him, and he was galloped next up in the Winx Stakes.
The Invader mare, which was sold to Camilleri for $3.9 million at the Magic Millions in May, broke the race record of Haut Brion Her, which went on to run fifth in The Everest in 2020.
