The number of Notts pubs featured is now 72
The 2024 edition of the Good Beer Guide features 11 new pubs bringing the total in Nottinghamshire listed to 72. The UK's best selling beer and pub guide has another strong Notts link too - with a striking cover and a foreword supplied by Worksop born ACDC star Bruce Dickinson.
A total of 910 new entries include 11 in Nottinghamshire, bringing the county's total in the guide to 72. Amongst the Notts newbies are a micro pub in Attenborough, a picturesque rural inn at Morton, a pub saved by local residents in Tollerton, and a Wetherspoon's pub that has recently been put on the market.
The number of new entries, said CAMRA, is a fantastic prospect for the pub trade which has been struggling to stay afloat in recent years following the pandemic and rising fuel costs. The trade also faces an impending threat from unlawful demolitions, which CAMRA has declared a "national scandal" in the wake of the demolition of the Crooked House in Himley near Dudley.
