Kate was called out by viewers over an interview on the show
Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway has come under fire from viewers for her interview style during a segment with Big Issue founder Lord John Baird. Alongside co-host Richard Madeley, they tackled the pressing issues leading to homelessness, such as the rising cost of living and lack of affordable housing, following new research highlighting the concerns of those in private rentals about paying their rent.
However, viewers expressed their frustration on social media, accusing Kate of "interrupting" Lord John too often. Annoyed tweets flooded in, with @TheIntoxicatedJ asking: "Can Kate let people finish a sentence?" and @PetersonPe42694 criticising: "Kate Garraway, let your guests speak, we want to hear them... Not you! Stop interrupting."
Another viewer, @Lillyanfield, commented: "Richard and Kate just love the sound of their own voices. Just talking over each other and the guests. It's Painful."The sentiment was echoed by @jezzerpark: "Man can't get a word in with these 2 muppets!" and @mrjoeblack advised: "@kategarraway let john bird speak, stop cutting across him, stop making mmmm noises. @richardm56 too, let the guests speak.
Despite the interruptions, Lord John managed to convey his message: "We started the Big Issue because we believe that homeless people should be given some dignity," reports the Express. "And one of the best ways of giving people dignity is to supply them with a purpose, give them a means, give them a way of making their own money so they don't have to beg and all that, so it was about dignifying people."
