Susanna Reid, Kevin Maguire and Andrew Pierce were left stunned as he unveiled his 'real' voice
Richard Madeley stunned his Good Morning Britain co-stars on Wednesday when he disclosed his true accent. During a conversation about Northerners and their ability to spot false accents, Susanna Reid was astonished as she asked, "So do you mean to tell me the voice you're speaking in right now is put on."
Revealing his authentic tones, Richard explained: "But when I was at school at Rush Green, obviously if I spoke like that, I got beaten up, so I spoke like this." "I am not putting it on; I am dropping into it, right? I am not acting it, right? " He clarified later to guests Andrew Pierce and Kevin McGuire: "I am not putting it on because I'm from Essex, right, and that is how I used to talk," as reported by the Mirror.
