Simon Kubalik, 20, was identified on CCTV
Simon Kubalik, 20, was with a woman when he approached a man in his car and asked him to give them a lift. Kubalik, of Dulverton Place in Beeston , asked his victim to take them from Harehills Lane to St Albans Road.
But when they arrived at St Albans Road in the early hours of April 25, Kubalik punched the man repeatedly and made off with his wallet and phone. West Yorkshire Police identified Kubalik from CCTV and he was arrested and charged with robbery. He admitted robbery at Leeds Crown Court last month and on Wednesday, November 13 he was jailed for six years. Detective Constable Joe Kendrew, of Leeds District Crime Team, said: “This attack was so violent that it left his victim with multiple facial fractures which required several operations. I hope this outcome will be of some comfort to him as he continues his recovery.”
