The Phoenix Police Department was notified by the FBI of an 'ongoing investigation' involving an officer concerning 'serious criminal acts.'
GOODYEAR, Ariz. — A Goodyear man allegedly impersonating a peace officer was arrested after a dead dog was found in his vehicle, along with methamphetamine.
When Zupancich returned to the vehicle, the dog was found dead. Court documents state Zupancich was carrying a semi-automatic handgun in a holster and had handcuffs. He was also dressed in a peace officer hat and had a peace officer detective badge hanging around his neck. Zupancich was arrested on April 4 and is facing charges related to possession of drugs, possession or use of a weapon in drug offense, animal cruelty and impersonating a peace officer.
