Greene, a staunch ally of former President Donald Trump, is forcing her colleagues to choose sides after Democratic leaders announced they'd provide the votes to save the Republican speaker's job.
Nancy Mace on Marjorie Taylor Greene's motion to vacate: "She's gonna lose. I don't know why she's doing this because the votes aren't there."Mace was reacting to Greene announcing last week she plans to go ahead with plans to call a vote to remove Johnson. But the effort is doomed from the start because Democrats have already said they would give Johnson enough votes to remain speaker.
