The Scots celebrity chef opened up on being 'skint' and forced to sell his Porsche after asking his father-in-law for money to buy a flat back in the 1990s.
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has been slammed after reflecting on a time in his life when he was 'skint' and needed to borrow £20,000 to put down a deposit on his and wife Tana's first flat.
"And I thought this was all going well, lunch was good, I’ll pay for lunch and I said, ‘Oh about that deposit, Tana and I, we’ve got half of it but we need the other twenty grand. I’ll pay you back in a year.’ He said, ‘Okay, here’s what I'll do. I'll have another lunch with you when you sell your Porsche’.
One person joked: "Gordon Ramsay solves the cost of living crisis," as another said: "A £40k deposit on a flat in the 90s? What the f*** was he buying."
