'GORING' has intensified into a super typhoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday.
Pagasa said the super typhoon is packing maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 230 kph.Signal No. 3 was raised over the extreme eastern portion of Isabela while Signal No. 2 is up is the eastern portion of mainland Cagayan , the eastern portion of Isabela , and the extreme northern portion of Aurora .Meanwhile, Signal No.
1 was hoisted in Babuyan Islands, the rest of mainland Cagayan, the rest of Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Mountain Province, Ifugao, the eastern portion of Benguet , the eastern portion of Ilocos Norte , the northeastern portion of Nueva Ecija , the northern and central portions of Aurora , Polillo Islands and Calaguas Islands in Luzon.
