Pharmacy Guild President Trent Twomey urges the government to “go back to the drawing board” as its new prescription policy faces backlash from industry leaders.
Mr Twomey said the government needs to “delay the implementation” of the bill so it can discuss with industry bodies to ensure it does not have adverse effects.
“We’ve already seen many of the major chains, many of the independents, not only start to cut back services in advance of these cuts coming into place but we’ve already seen them starting to put their prices up.”
