The federal government has pledged its full support toward Australia's hosting of the Women’s Asian Cup. Football Australia has welcomed the $15 million investment package which is aiming to build on the success of last year's World Cup.

Football Australia has welcomed the $15 million investment package which is aiming to build on the success of last year's World Cup.Now, the federal government wants to replicate the hype created during the Women's World Cup.
Two hundred million dollars will also be invested through the Play Our Way program to improve sporting facilities and equipment specifically for women and girls. It will be Australia's second time hosting the competition with matches set to take place in New South Wales, in Queensland and Western Australia.
