Government reject call for new institutional racism inquiry after Fire Brigade scandal by S_Fleary1
TRANSPORT SECRETARY Mark Harper has dismissed the call for a national inquiry into other public bodies following damning report into London Fire Brigade.
Mr Afzal has revealed he has already been approached by several employees who work across other public bodies in the United Kingdom. “But I do think all leaders of organisations should look at that report and think whether it could happen in their organisation, and if they think it could then they should think about what they need to do about making sure it couldn’t.”
He added: “It seems that you’re the only person as the victim who can decide whether anything should be done about it because you are the only one who has been affected by it, when it should have affected everyone.
