The government has struck a deal with the Greens on its housing bill, earning the minor party’s support. Greens leader Adam Bandt says the minor party has managed to secure a guaranteed $500 million a year to be spent on housing. “Today, the Greens have secured an additional $1 billion that will be spent this year directly on public and community housing,” he said during a media conference on Monday. Mr Bandt said the Greens have prepared subject to the Senate to pass Labor’s housing bill this week.
