Dr Sam Choudhury has issued a health reminder after spotting a worrying warning sign in his friend
A doctor is warning people of a 'suspicious' symptom after he noticed it in his friend, which then led to a diagnosis. Dr Sam Choudhury, known as Skingapore on social media, explained all in a TikTok video. In the clip, he told viewers how he quickly noticed his mate's frequent toilet trips while away together. Dr Choudhury tracked the number of times his friend went the toilet - which was as many as 10 times in one day.
If left untreated, type 2 diabetes can cause lasting damage due to the build-up of sugar in the bloodstream. Type 1 diabetes occurs when the body is unable to produce insulin because the immune system attacks and destroys the cells that create it. On the other hand, type 2 diabetes happens when the body doesn't make enough insulin or the insulin produced isn't used effectively. Typically, type 1 diabetes is diagnosed during childhood but can occur at any age.
