MONTGOMERY , Ala. - High school graduates in Alabama are making the most of the next couple of days, taking portraits to capture their last few moments before entering their next chapter of life.
It’s an occasion that Shamiria Wilkins looks forward to with pride. She’s set to graduate from JAG High School on May 16, and her next step won’t be far: she’s going to AUM and majoring in clinical psychology. “It means a lot,” Wilkins expressed. “It’s a big milestone to see my family happy, to see them proud, to see that I have accomplished something big in my life.”Like all Montgomery Public School students, she’s preparing to walk across the stage at Alabama State’s Dunn-Oliver Acadome.
