Souness provided a positive update on his old international and Anfield team-mate as he recovers from a serious illness
Graeme Souness has shared an encouraging update on the health of Alan Hansen, the Scotland and Liverpool legend who was recently hospitalised with a serious illness.
But speaking to talkSPORT today while in Germany for Euro 2024 coverage, Souness revealed that he had spoken to his former international and Anfield teammate and was optimistic about his recovery. "I spoke to him yesterday and he sounded fabulous so I hope that's him on the way to a full recovery. He's definitely back because he did nothing but take the Mickey out of me! " Souness said.
Hansen joined Liverpool from Partick Thistle in 1977 and won three European Cups, eight league titles, two FA Cups and three League Cups in 620 appearances for the Anfield side.
