Graham Potter would be interested in taking over as West Ham manager if the club decide to sack Julen Lopetegui.the former Chelsea boss would be a “sensible” appointment at the London Stadium.
There was an initial expectation Lopetegui, 58, would be sacked following the 3-1 defeat to Leicester City amid pressure from the fans and a reported bust-up with defender Jean-Clair Todibo. But the Spaniard has been given one more chance to save his job as West Ham face his former club Wolves at home on Monday.Potter, 49, is the clear frontrunner to take over at the London Stadium if the club’s hierarchy decide to sack LopeteguiWest Ham currently sit 14th in the Premier League table, having lost seven of their opening 14 games of the campaign.
“They have got some issues, but outside of the top eight, it’s quite an exciting proposition I would say.”
