Graham Reid, 72, took part in the challenge last year and raised £6,680 for Beatson Cancer Charity.
A Scots pensioner hiked 500 miles to raise funds for a cancer charity after he and his wife both battled the disease.
Graham’s work colleague, Lorraine Scott, encouraged him to fundraise for charity as part of the challenge and set up a JustGiving page for Graham. Graham said: “If it wasn't for Lorraine getting involved, I wouldn’t have even known how to set it up. Beatson Cancer Charity is encouraging fellow thrill seekers to take on a challenge to support the charity, be it through a run, skydive, sail, hike or something else. Meanwhile, a Glasgow woman who began climbing Munros during Covid lockdowns has now climbed to Mount Everest Base Camp to raise funds for the Beatson Cancer Charity.
