This is a nice story 😊
Staff at Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre gathered to sing to a grandma who was spending her 80th birthday in A&E. Workers at the emergency department sang 'Happy Birthday' to Margaret Page and bought her a cake, card and sweets to celebrate the landmark occasion on Saturday .
The Stapleford grandma was taken to A&E by her daughter, Wendy Noton, when she complained of pains in her side after fainting the previous day. "It was really lovely what they did," Ms Noton told Nottinghamshire Live. "I told the doctor and 20 minutes later she came back with a cake, card and some sweets for her. My mum went to the loo and the staff came in, so they waited in the room for her."She walked in and they started singing. It made a horrible experience and sitting about more enjoyable, I think she felt special."
Ms Page was in A&E from around 8.30am and did not return home until 5pm. She is now recovering from a broken bone in her foot.
