A woman visiting Oregon for her grandson's graduation was sexually assaulted after falling unconscious at a TriMet station last year, prosecutors say.
Grandmother, 63, sexually assaulted at light rail station after falling unconscious: Docs A woman visiting Portland , Oregon, for her grandson's graduation was sexually assaulted after falling unconscious at a TriMet station last year, prosecutors allege in the court case against the 29-year-old man accused of the crime.
Prosecutors report that the victim, a 63-year-old woman, flew into Portland International Airport on June 14, 2023, so she could attend her grandson's graduation. Madrid-Roque arrived at the station around 9:15 p.m. and saw the woman unconscious on the ground. Prosecutors allege he then sexually assaulted her for around 30 minutes, which was caught on camera, stopping occasionally when people passed through the area and then resuming the attack. Madrid-Roque then reportedly left on a bus around 9:45 p.m.
Prosecutors say DNA taken from her clothing matches Madrid-Roque. He has previously been convicted for felony assault and public indecency.
