This Labor Day weekend, the Great Lakes Science Center invites guests to take part in two events it's offering in conjunction with the Cleveland National Air Show.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- This Labor Day weekend, the Great Lakes Science Center invites guests to take part in two events its offering in conjunction with the Cleveland National Air Show.From Aug. 31 to Sept. 2, visitors can climb on the deck of the historic Steamship William G. Mather for the return of the Air Show Deck Party. The event, running daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., offers a prime view of the aerial performances over Lake Erie.
Guests must bring their own chairs, as no seating will be provided. Food and beverages can be purchased at Spark Kitchen, which is the the science center’s café. Tickets cost $25 per person, or $20 for science center members. The purchase include access both on and off the ship, but not the science center itself. Parking is available in the science center’s garage for $9, or $7 for members. There will be a limited number of tickets available, so advance purchase is advised.Great Lakes Science Center guests can also experience the air show from the outdoor terrace that will be transformed into a family picnic area.
Tickets for the family picnic, which include general admission to the science center and parking, are priced at $85 for adults, $70 for youth and $65 for members. The ticket also covers a lunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring picnic staples like hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, fruit and soft drinks.
