The Met Office has warned that the freezing conditions could continue for the rest of the week, with tonight recording the coldest temperatures of the winter season so far.
Greater Manchester is covered by a yellow warning of snow and ice, and the region is expected to experience a very cold night tonight. Across Greater Manchester today, there are minor delays to the Metrolink systems and roads remain shut due to ice. On top of that, the airport relief road remains closed due to flooding over New Year.
