There's a role play village and play frames for little ones and a Hideout for older kids with gaming and air hockey

A play centre in Greater Manchester is letting parents pay what they can in a bid to help struggling families.

Main meals are £6.50 or two for £10 and kids eat for £3.50. Ruth Lancey, CEO of the charity, said: “The pay what you can system has been in full swing for a while now and includes all of the school holidays too. It’s been incredibly popular as you might imagine and in a recent survey 82% of parents said the policy made The Hideaway affordable for them to visit - we assume the other 18% could already afford it.

Hope Centre user Scott Rafferty said “The Hope Pantry is a fantastic place that has helped us as a family through so many hard times, I don’t know what we would have done without them. The staff there are welcoming, caring, amazing people. It is a place you can go for help and there is no judgement."
