The cold snap will continue with more freezing temperatures forecast
Snow fell over much of the region today as temperatures plummeted to below freezing. This led to both runways at Manchester Airport being closed with cancellations and delays to flights coming both in and out of the airport.

The temperature throughout the day will remain low average at around 2C. People have been urged to plan ahead before they travel. Across the UK, the cold weather is expected to continue into next week with the risk of sleet and snow at times continuing.
