Forecasters predict that flooding is likely across our regions as downpours hit
It's to be set a complete wash-out in Greater Manchester today - with 'heavy and persistent' rain forecast in our region.
Today, Met Office forecasters predict heavy rain will fall at every hour through the entire morning, afternoon and evening. Temperatures of around 14C are expected. The heavy rain is then expected to continue to fall into the early hours of tomorrow morning, before the showers begin to ease off from around 6am. More heavy downpours are then expected at around 10am tomorrow before showers turn lighter again into tomorrow afternoon.
In Greater Manchester and the areas covered by the amber warning, forecasters are warning that 'flooding and disruption is likely'. 'Fast flowing or deep floodwater is likely' which could 'cause a danger to life'.
