The fan group have been critical of the boss since his return to Celtic Park in the summer.
John Hartson has lauded Brendan Rodgers for forcing security guards away from a young Hoops fan who ran onto the pitch after a 3-0 win for Celtic over Livingston.
But Rodgers was on hand to lend a helping hand as the Celtic boss ushered the security away and walked the pitch invader back to the crowd. The gesture received a warm response from the visiting support including fan group the Green Brigade - who have previously took a strong stance against the boss after he returned Celtic Park earlier this summer. Following the move, Hartson could detect the angry response of the ultras beginning to cool.
"He went over and took control of the situation. Alright, maybe he shouldn't have got involved but it's a one-off. You can't have people running onto the pitch, but he is running on to see his heroes and he has probably got away from his dad in the crowd, but it was brilliant.
