North Lanarkshire Council is to proceed with a project to build 25 flats in Chapelhall to rent out to tenants.

The flats, to be constructed on a 1.5 hectare site near Gibb Street to the north of Chapelhall, will consist of 11 one-bedroom and 14 two-bed properties. Three will be designed specifically to accommodate wheelchair users.With the development in a cul-de-sac formation, half of the site will be occupied by the flats, gardens and parking with the rest left as open ground, featuring a realigned footpath and new landscaping.
Existing parking and the domestic access track will also be retained with 45 new parking spaces, including three disabled spaces, also provided.
