Leeds United are bearing down on the final 48 hours of the summer transfer window with incoming and outgoings still to finalise at Elland Road amid links for Cody Drameh, Leo Hjelde, Kenny McLean, Ao Tanaka and Glen Kamara
Wheels are in motion on Sam Greenwood’s Leeds United exit as he assesses his options for more game time this season. Middlesbrough have been strongly linked with a loan move for the former Arsenal forward one day after his agent visited Elland Road.
Cody Drameh and Leo Hjelde are other Leeds players who could yet move on before Friday’s 11pm transfer deadline. The arrival of Djed Spence will hugely inhibit the former’s game time, while the latter has struggled in his three appearances at left-back thus far.As far as incomings are concerned, central midfield is dominating the conversation at Elland Road. Spence was the sixth new face of the summer and LeedsLive understands further full-back reinforcements are not currently on the agenda.
The Scotland international had great success with Farke at Norwich City, but the Canaries have given Leeds no encouragement at any point in their pursuit and he looks likely to stay at Carrow Road now. Fortuna Dusseldorf’s Ao Tanaka and Rangers’ Glen Kamara have been on the shortlist too.
