Gregg Wallace has claimed that 'absolutely zero' complaints were made by TV staff during his 20-year career amid allegations of inappropriate sexual comments and an investigation.
Gregg Wallace has firmly stated that there have been "absolutely zero" complaints from TV staff throughout his 20 years in television. Earlier today, the TV host expressed irritation in a video where he suggested that "middle-class women of a certain age" were responsible for the allegations against him.
In an earlier clip, the presenter detailed his hardship, telling his audience: "I have been doing MasterChef for 20 years - amateur, celebrity and professional MasterChef and I think in that time I have worked with over 4,000 contestants of all different ages, all different backgrounds and all walks of life."
The MasterChef presenter has found himself at the centre of a media storm following numerous complaints about alleged inappropriate sexual remarks. In the Instagram post, he questioned: "This isn't right. In over 20 years of television, can you imagine how many women, female contestants, on MasterChef have made sexual remarks or sexual innuendo, can you imagine?"
Earlier this week, they released a statement to the PA news agency, stating: "This week the BBC received complaints from individuals in relation to historical allegations of misconduct while working with presenter Gregg Wallace on one of our shows. Whilst these complainants have not raised the allegations directly with our show producers or parent company Banijay UK, we feel that it is appropriate to conduct an immediate, external review to fully and impartially investigate.
