Gregg Wallace has undergone a huge weight loss transformation after doctors warned him he was at risk of a stroke and heart attack at 17 stone - and his diet now looks very different
He's a familiar face on BBC 's Masterchef, sampling the creme de la creme of culinary creations, yet Gregg Wallace has openly discussed that his past indulgences were "full of takeaways, fry-ups, snacks and boozing".
The turning point came when he quit snacking, said no to takeaways, and started preparing meals at home. The ex-greengrocer impressed his followers by dropping down to a svelte 12 stone, and also saw improvements in his BMI and cholesterol levels. The well-known TV presenter overhauled his diet by adopting the Mediterranean diet, loaded with fresh veggies, healthy fats, and whole grain carbs. He endorses the diet saying it's "the best you can have," noting that it still allows him substantial servings, including carbohydrates, reports the Mirror.
His inspiration for weight loss surged after his marriage to Anne-Marie Sterpini, who is 21 years his junior with Italian roots, and acquiring knowledge about calorie management and nutrition from his personal trainer, Danny Rai.
