There has been some confusion over the method which shoppers have labelled 'weird'

There was confusion in Leeds as the Greggs eatery inside the bus station had been taking and giving customers their orders through a window. Online speculation wrongly suggested the shutter had been left down to prevent shop thefts, but those rumours were quickly shut down by Greggs.

A spokesperson for the company said staff had been serving customers in the slightly unusual way because the shutter is broken. The busy Greggs store had a long queue of confused customers on Monday morning. Customers said they found the experience rather 'weird'. One person said: "It's a weird experience. I'm not sure what is going on or if you can even pay by card."

Another added: "I saw on Facebook it was because of shoplifters but they just said the shutter is broke." A Greggs spokesperson said: "We are serving like this because the shutter is broken."
