Gresini Racing presented its 2025 MotoGP bikes, featuring the team's signature light blue and red color scheme. Alex Marquez, returning for a two-year contract, will lead the team alongside MotoGP rookie Fermin Aldeguer. The team aims to build on its successful 2024 season, where Marc Marquez secured three victories and a third-place championship finish.
Gresini Racing unveiled the livery for its 2025 MotoGP challenger at a presentation in Imola on Saturday. During a special event at Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari near its base, the Italian team took the covers off the two Ducati GP24 bikes that it will run on a customer basis this year. Gresini has elected to retain the light blue-and-red colour scheme it first adopted in 2022 when it joined the Ducati stable as a satellite team.
Alex Marquez joined his brother Marc on the podium at the Sachsenring and secured a career-best eighth-place finish in the riders’ standings. Together, the Marquez duo propelled Gresini to third in the teams’ championship, ahead of fellow Ducati squad VR46 but also the factory teams of Aprilia and KTM. Alex Marquez will now assume the role of team leader at Gresini, as Moto2 frontrunner Aldeguer graduates to MotoGP after three full seasons in the intermediate class.
