'Monster' put golden retriever puppy in weighted cage then threw her in pond to drown'
A "MONSTER" woman has been charged with animal cruelty over claims she put a puppy in a weighted cage and threw her in a pond to drown.
Tonya Fea, 47, is accused of placing the golden retriever in the crate with a heavy crystal vase before tossing it into Greenwood Pond in Milford, New Jersey.West Milford PDThe dead animal was found inside the box by a volunteer from The Last Resort Rescue. Named Jenny as a mark of respect by the nonprofit organisation, the pup was said to be "ice cold and soaking wet".
Fea was arrested and charged with two counts of animal cruelty after two people called The Last Resort with a tip-off claiming she was responsible.The rescue offered a reward of $7,000 raised through Facebook donations for anyone who provided information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for Jenny's death.
