The two-time All-Star point guard got some great news as Memphis' offseason continues.
Two-time Memphis Grizzlies All-Star point guard Ja Morant has just been given the green light to partake in all basketball activities, six months after undergoing surgery to correct a right shoulder labral tear in January, reports Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal.The 6-foot-2 Murray State product suited up for just nine games in 2023-24.
The rest of the year, the team went 21-52, ultimately finishing with a 27-55 tally and the Western Conference's No. 13 seed. For its efforts during an injury-plagued season up and down the roster, Memphis was rewarded with the No. 9 pick in June's 2024 NBA Draft.After offloading longtime center Steven Adams , it was clear the Grizzlies needed a long-term solution as their starting center.
