A teenage boy was subjected to a 'dehumanising' threesome by a grooming predator, leaving him with feelings of fear and self-loathing. Alex Stevens, 26, groomed the boy over social media before driving him to an unknown location in Bootle, where he engaged in a threesome with another man.
A mum whose teenage son was subjected to a 'dehumanising' threesome by a grooming predator said it was devastating his first sexual experience was 'filled with fear and self-loathing'. Ambulance service worker Alex Stevens, 26, groomed the teenager, whose identity is protected for life, over WhatsApp and Snapchat before driving the then 13-year-old to an unknown location in Bootle to meet another man.
Once there Stevens and the other man, who has yet to be apprehended by police, 'took turns' with the boy in a depraved threesome . During Stevens' sentencing at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday, Monday, December 16, the teenager's mum told the court that their family was 'devastated that he had to endure a harmful sexual assault and felt he had to live with it'. In a victim impact statement read to the court by prosecutor Louise McCloskey, the mum said instead of his first sexual encounter being joyful it instead brought feelings of fear and self-loathing . She said her son had taken the decision not to share what happened beyond his family as 'he was fearful his friends would view him differently'. During the prosecution's opening, Ms McCloskey told the court that Stevens' offending only came to light when he tried to offer up the teenager to another man. The court heard that he sent messages to an old school friend, who he knew from school and had previously engaged in sexual conversations with, about the prospects of a threesome. During the messages, sent in March this year, Stevens sent the man a picture of a white male with blonde hair and said he had previously had a threesome with him. When the man told him that was a child, Stevens then attempted to delete the images but the man took a screenshot. After the police were contacted, the defendant was located and arrested on April 28. His phone was seized and forensically examined, revealing indecent images of a child . Efforts were made to identify the boy and he was interviewed in August of this yea
