A community group is raising funds to try and save the pub which closed last year.
Now the group has started its fundraising efforts and has five months to raise the funds to purchase the Horse and Jockey, in Northwood, with the current asking price sitting at £395,000.
"More than 20 people turned up for the first of our presentations, from Northwood and surrounding villages. "But we have only just started with the share pledging and so we are really hopeful of achieving our goals. there's every possibility of that." "There is clearly a huge ground swell of support for the project so we really hope that we achieve our target and have success in May.
