Liam Harrison, 35, was last seen in Edinburgh at around 10.30pm on Sunday.
He is known to frequent Edinburgh Old Town, Holyrood Park and the Piershill areas of the city.
Police say they are concerned for his welfare "due to the fact that he has been out of contact for this amount of time" and they are appealing for information. He is described as being white, about 5ft 10in, of average build with fair/ginger hair.Anyone who may have seen Liam since this time, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 4018 of August 20.
